We have started seeing the effects of government cutbacks in the pantry. Food programs have been cut and food availability is less. When I walk in the door I often see empty spots. We are serving more and more people (new families every day) and we will do our best to have food to provide to every person that walks in our door, regardless of which state you live in. Did you know that the Manna Food Bank was previously out of Asheville NC next to the Swannanoa River and was completely washed away? Did you know that within a week after Hurricane Helene Manna Food Bank found a temporary location and was supplying relief to the surrounding areas and by October 21 they had located a new warehouse and was back up and running? On July 10th 2024 we had our ground breaking ceremony and after what seems like forever we have finally reached the day we have all been waiting and praying for… 🥁🥁🥁…Share Thy Bread Food Pantry will be having our Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening on January 23, 2:30 p.m. We couldn’t imagine better people to celebrate this momentous occasion with than our wonderful community around us who have supported us every step of the way.
